Anyone who knows me will know that I love the Met Museum. I love it so much that I have a membership and go there at least twice a month. It’s one of those places where I can go and think or to forget or to just enjoy. They constantly have new things going on and one of the new things they have is they have more fashion exhibits. The current one they have is Manus x Machina. It is composed of different Haute Couture and Pret-a-porter designs with fashion in age of technology. I enjoyed this exhibition so much that I’ve been 3 times already. Here below see some images of different dresses:
One of the most awesome things about the Met Museum is that they not only have awesome exhibits but they also understand the importance of doing fun events at the museum. One of their fun events is called the Met Friday. They did some really cool event with Lady Fancy Nails who used some of the dress from Manus x Machina as inspiration to do nail art. I was lucky enough to get a slot to get my nails done by Lady Fancy Nails (I had to arrive at 4pm to get on the line and they didn’t start until 6pm. They only took 30 people!) Eda the founder did a demonstration on her nail art inspirations. Check out the picture below to see some of the most elegant and beautiful nail art I’ve seen thus far!! Another awesome thing was I also met Annie the founder of Cirque Colors nail lacquer which had colors inspired by the Manus x Machina exhibit sold exclusively at the Met Store. Of course Cirque Colors have other colors which they sell on their website. One cool thing about this brand is that their lacquer is actually hand-made. And the colors were so beautiful that my friend and I purchased the whole set from the Met museum. I also checked out their website which had some very beautiful colors as well (yes, I will be buying some new colors from them too!) I had an amazing time at the Met Friday events and hope to go to more of these things because I know a lot of people would love it! Check out some pics from the event below!
