This restaurant was one of the highest rated for Cannes, so of course I want to test them out. It is a super cute place full of paintings for purchase if you wish. I was the first to arrive (as usual, a problem I try to change but nevertheless, I am always early). The owner seated me, and of course we started a conversation. He used to live in New Brunswick, NJ! So he knows the tri-state very well and speaks fluent English.
The restaurant is very modern looking with a french kick of course. The chef is phenomenal. I’ve stuck with seafood since we are on the coast and thus far, the seafood have been delicious. So with this place I did no different, seafood all the way!
Their fish was tender and soft with perfect flavoring – absolutely delicious. BUT, what killed it and hit it home was their dessert. The made a mousse out of Toblerone chocolate bars. At first, I was iffy about it, but that was what was on the prix fixe menu so, I said fine, I like mousse, I will try it. It came in a cute pot. My first spoon was like heaven. It is super rich and super chocolaty. I would go back to that restaurant just for that dessert. It is absolutely incredible. It is velvety smooth too. As I am describing this delicious pot of dream, my mouth is watering and wished I could have some more. Unfortunately, I am in NYC not Cannes. But check out my limited pictures below.. (lost some pictures along the way so this is all I have). I am putting this restaurant under the Nice group because Cannes is really easy to get to from Nice. In fact, when you’re in Nice, you can get anywhere with the train within an hour or two.
