So I’ve used a few different tools to do my foundation because I am always interested in learning new makeup techniques. Here are a few tools that I’ve used:
Foundation brush from Kevin Aucoin
Etude House My Beauty Tool Secret Brush
Silicone Beauty Sponge
Out of the four tools I tested, my favorite would be in order of my preference: Kevin Aucoin, Etude House, Beauty Blender then any of the silicone sponge. I get the idea that the silicone sponge won’t waste any foundation, but I just didn’t like the way it applied the foundation. It doesn’t even out nor does it soft buff (when you put powder on is the hard buffing). It takes longer for me to apply my foundation with the silicone sponge then any of the brushes. I use the beauty blender for my concealers. Now that keeps my concealer on all day if you tap it on properly and if you set it properly! The Kevin Aucoin brush just glides along your skin and evens out the foundation perfectly. The thick bristle is just perfect for a full coverage look! The Etude House brush is the one that looks like a tooth-brush and the bristles are soft, thick and short for a perfect even look. I hope this helps!
